Advertising Rates & Payment for Basic Entries and Special Positions on this website
Basic New Entries are simple entries on the relevant page on Visiting Cornwall (more details below). An existing free entry from the early days of Visiting Cornwall (before 2004) can be enhanced to the same standard for the same one-off payment of £10.00.

Primary Positions are for small images of your logo or the property (approx. 120px X 120px) linked to your business website. These are positioned at the top of the Home page.

Primary Sponsored Links are text links to your business website with up to 50 words to describe it. These are also positioned on the Home page.

Secondary Positions are at the tops of any of the remaining pages (i.e. any page except the Home page) and the bottom of the main page (scroll down to the end).

Secondary Sponsored Links are text links to your business website with up to 50 words to describe it. These are positioned at the tops of the relevant main listing page for the business type - Hotels, Restaurants, Theme Parks, Art Galleries, Gift Shops etc.

Level 3 Links are image or text links at the bottom of the secondary site pages.

Multiple placings will attract discounts - please contact us with your intentions and we will supply a quotation.

Initial payments cover the period to the 31st December in the year in which advertising starts.
Renewal rates apply for the next 12 month period from 1st January to 31st December.
Notification of renewal will be issued in early November of each year and payment must be received by 31st December.
Failure to renew on time will result in the advertisement being removed. Reinstatement may be made following payment but we can not guarantee that the same position will still be available. Primary and Secondary positions may no longer be available following late payment as they may have been allocated to an advertiser from our waiting list (see below).

Changes to any of these Special Position advertisements (including the logo or destination website address) will also attract a small charge (usually not exceeding £10).

As there is limited space available on the Primary and Secondary positions, these will be allocated on a first come - first served basis. Once full, a waiting list will be maintained pending failure to renew by existing occupants.

Rates for New Entries and for Enhancing Existing Free Entries

All new entries comprise the (optional) inclusion of a company logo or small (approx 120px X 120px) photograph (as supplied by you) and your descriptive text, telephone number, fax number and email address up to a maximum of 150 words. This will cost you a one-off payment of just £10.00 with no annual fees. For entries exceeding 150 words, please contact us for a quotation.

Enhancing an existing free entry to the same level as a paid new entry will also attract the same one-off payment of £10.00 and will be to the same standard.

Rates for Making Regular Updates to Entries

Regular periodic updates to your basic line entry, enhanced line entry or Special Position Entry are possible at a charge of £1.75 a time.

Regular payments on a weekly or monthly basis would attract the discounted rates of £15.00 per annum (monthly changes) and £60.00 per annum (weekly changes). These annual payments will apply whether or not changes are required in a particular week or month. Regular changes can be a useful way of publicising special events or end-of-season discounts. For restaurants it can be used to refer to the different Chef's Special each week.

Free Listings

There are two pages on Visiting Cornwall where we display free listings.

One is Useful sites in Cornwall or with Cornish connections, where we show the website address which links to that website. This is for websites directly related to Cornwall and/or the Cornish people.

The other is Non-Cornish Reciprocal Links where the site name is shown as the link to the website. This is for websites not related to Cornwall or the Cornish.

The prerequisites for getting your link added to either of these pages are:
  1. A reciprocal link is in place on the referenced website on a page that has a link from the Home or Index page.
  2. The referenced website does not include adult content, illegal content, content related to any form of gambling or any content related to guns, knives or other weaponry.
  3. The website address is sent to Visiting Cornwall by email to Email:


Visiting Cornwall will endeavour to add your link within 7 working days subject to us having found the reciprocal link on the referenced website.

Note: If we find that the link to Visiting Cornwall has been removed, the page containing that reciprocal link is no longer linked from the Home or Index page, the content of your site is no longer suitable or the website ceases to exist, your link will be removed from our page without notice.


Website and Web Page Creation - reduced rates for businesses in Cornwall
