| The Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts and Literature is a community event co-ordinated by Restormel Borough Council. 2005 is the 9th year of the festival and provides an entertaining 10 days of star names, guided walks, talks, drama, local events and free entertainment. The events are set in the picturesque harbour town of Fowey and neighbouring towns and villages. |

| Trenarren Car Park is at the end of the road leading to Black Head This is on the western side of St Austell Bay and is reached by following the Porthpean Road beyond Porthpean to Lobbs Shop and turning left. Trenarren House, near the car park, was the home of the cornish writer Dr A L Rowse. |
