| The Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts and Literature is a community event co-ordinated by Restormel Borough Council. 2005 is the 9th year of the festival and provides an entertaining 10 days of star names, guided walks, talks, drama, local events and free entertainment. The events are set in the picturesque harbour town of Fowey and neighbouring towns and villages. |

| How to get there | ||
| By Car From the M5 at Exeter, there is a choice of routes, A38 or A30, of which the latter is now virtually all dual carriageway to beyond Bodmin. From the A30, after Bodmin, take the A391 to St Austell and then the A3082 to Fowey. From the A38, at Dobwalls, take the A390 through Lostwithiel to St Blazey and then follow the signs to Fowey. |

| Parking Parking in Fowey: the Main Car Park, on Hanson Drive as you enter Fowey from St Austell or the Caffa Mill Car Park, in Station Road, if approaching from the Bodinnick Ferry. Weekly and 24 hour tickets are available, in advance, from Restormel Borough Council (Tel: 01726 223303). |

| By Rail All rail services stop at St Austell (9 miles from Fowey) and some stop at Par (4 miles from Fowey). Enquiries: 08457 484950 |

| By Coach National Express coaches stop at St Austell and St Blazey. |

| Local Ferries Car Ferry - between Caffa Mill, Fowey and Bodinnick every 10-15 minutes. Last ferry around 8:40 pm Pedestrian Ferry - between Whitehouse Quay, Esplanade, Fowey and Polruan every 15 minutes until 6:15 pm. Thereafter from Town Quay, Fowey until 11:00 pm. |

| Local Buses A free mini-bus service operates between the Festival Village and the town centre calling at Caffa Mill, Fowey Docks and the Main Car Park during the Festival. It operates between 6:45 pm and 8:15 pm and again from 10:00 pm to 11:30 pm Other regular bus services operate between St Austell and Fowey, passing through St Blazey, Par and Tywardreath (Timetable enquiries: 0870 6082608) |

| Access to the Theatre and the Marquee Both the du Maurier Theatre and Festival Marquee are sited on the Festival Village. Please park in the Main Car Park, Hanson Drive, Fowey. Due to construction works at Fowey Hall Hotel, there will be alternative pedestrian access arrangements to the Festival Village this year. Strictly no access for vehicles. Please follow the signs. |
