SANDY MOUTH

Sandymouth Beach showing the expanse of flat sand

A west facing flat 2km long beach made up of pebbles with a vast expanse of sand in front.
The beach extends north to Duckpool and south to Summerleaze at very low tide; a distance of well over two miles. Very popular in summer, mainly due to its close proximity to Sandy Mouth Holiday Park. Owned by the National Trust.
Sandy Mouth includes Warren Long Beach, Eliza Beach and Warren Little Beach, which are only accessible from mid to low tide.
MCS Recommended beach in 2012.

Warning: If exploring the adjoining beaches, please keep an eye on the tide as you can very easily get cut off with no escape.

Access
North of Bude, turn off the A39 at Stratton for Stibb. At Stibb turn left and left again, past the Sandymouth Bay Holiday Park. Near the end of the road is the National Trust car park with the beach beyond via a steep, narrow path.
